This is a statue in the Plaza del Quinto Centenario. It was built in 1992 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Columbus' arrival in the New World. The plaza overlooks the Atlantic, the Castillo de San Felipe Del Morro, and the old San Juan cemetery.
