I'm almost embarrassed to post this picture. These three bookshelves hold my current inventory of unread books. Granted, I did not buy all of them! Some are purchased, but many are either gifts or mooched from Bookmooch. Some have been started and paused. The current one I'm reading is the top book on the first shelf, "People of the Book" by Geraldine Brooks.
I think I need a moratorium on books for a while, don't you?

Oh please :P I've got easily 3 times that unread! No, nearer 4 times. I have two large stacks on my chest of drawers, 3 stacks on one bookshelf, and another shelf with double 3 stacks (3 stacks at the back, 3 in front).
I've managed to stop Mooching or buying fairly well but if I see something become available on BookMooch, I will grab it while it's there.
I am trying to get down my unread pile but even with a slower aquisition rate, it's still as fast (or more so) than my reading rate, it seems!
Nice photo though - I hope you get down them!
Oooooh, I want some on there. I have a few too. You read some and then I'll trade you with some of mine that do not appear to be in your pile!
Seriously, Helen? I think any more that what I have now would really stress me out. :lol: I'd feel so pressured! My reading rate has gone down, obviously. Unless I get one that draws me in immediately it's hit or miss. If it draws me in, it's usually finished within a few days.
Allison, that's a great idea! I should make a list of my finished books. I have lots of good ones! :nod:
