Although this is officially a Great Blue Heron, it does have a lot of gray in its feathers. He almost blends in with the gray skies we experienced the entire time.

This one made me smile--these birds are usually so elegant, but this one almost looks goofy.

What a great shot. Wonder why he was standing with his legs apart like that! Looks like the surf was rough, so maybe he was dug in!
